It is protected by a fusible link, but if you lose that you lose the engine and you'll have fun replacing the link. Instead I'd pic a circuit that is fused. Like the Y/BK wire that is CKT #137 going to the radio. It is fused at 15 amps and if you blow it you'll just lose the radio. And you can easily replace the fuse. Perfect, Gary! You da man!
