Me neither honestly. I'm really surprised the black ink in the marker was able to survive the heat from the engine for the last thirty years. Nothing in the literature says there was anything but the standard 460. I assumed someone was using 351W terminology where the one with the 4bbl was the "HO". I contacted a retired Ford Engineer. Here is his response: I think there may have been a service bulletin to change something - like the speed/load shift schedule. It may have been done as a response to some problems customers were having in the field. My Escape had a recall to do this to my computer controlled trans, which in my case was done by re-flashing the computer. As long as the trans works correctly I would not worry about it. LARIAT 85 Posted August 15, 2021 Share Posted August 15, 2021 That is a very nice F350. The thing is, I don't think Ford offered the "LARIAT" trim on an F350. But who cares?
