Swap Meet Question

Recommended Posts

A question on the swap meet that's part of the show: are there any "special" rules on what can and can't be sold? Just parts, or are used "duplicate" tools fair game too? Not trying to turn this into a full blown flea market, but while cleaning out my garage I've found a tool or two that's "old vehicle" specific I have unneeded duplicates of that I think could use a new home. FWIW, found some duplicate spare parts too!

Sweet. Now I have to go through the stuff (junk?) and figure out what are items people would actually want! :nabble_poo-23_orig:

Yup. I've taken stuff for several years and haven't been able to give some of it away. Like the Powermaster alternator in pieces. But, this time I think I have someone crazy enough to take it - Scott. (Don't tell him. :nabble_smiley_evil:)

Only you don't have to haul it 11 hours :nabble_smiley_argh:.

Like the black nasty full size plastic truck box (front of bed tool box) I have sitting outside my garage in the junk pile... got it free off the side of country road long before I bought my 1984... Needs some TLC to make usable (rotted out tie rods, etc.), but being a plastic box (and not being big on truck boxes), I never got to fixing it and putting it on said truck (but I did consider it!). I thought it would make good outdoor storage... but is only used as an outdoor work surface. If I do bring it, it'll be a freebie as that's what I got it for and have only cleaned it up (and then dirtied it again with the rusty metal currently sitting on it!).

Would it be in good taste to have a "what I (think I) am bringing to the swap meet" and/or "what I'd like to find/buy at the swap meet" thread for those of us attending to sort out what's worth horsing over? I probably have enough junk... I mean "potentially valuable items" that are swap meet candidates to fill at least half my bed...

Yes, true that I don't have to haul it back very far. :nabble_smiley_wink:

As for the thread, how's this: Swap Meet Items: What I'm Bringing & What I'm Looking For
