New Guy, Matt in Alabama

Hey guys introducing myself. I live in lower Alabama, and my current project is an 86 F150. I’ve got a couple of sons that were looking to work on a new project with me. They voted on a VW beetle and I drug home another Ford. I’ve been working on cars my whole life, I currently have a couple of YJ jeeps and a F250 in addition to the new project. I brought this truck home last September and immediately pull the tired engine and replaced it with a roller 302 from a 96 F150. My boys and I rebuilt engine. Our plan is to do a 3/5 drop with DJM dream beams. Since the paint was already toasted, we have sanded down some high points on the truck to get some rust. My youngest son likes rat rods. I love this forum, I’ve been reading it since last September and figured it was time to post.

Welcome, Matt! Glad you joined. :nabble_anim_handshake:

What part of "lower Alabama"? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we can add you with a city or a zip.

As for the sons, I hope they'll join as well. And glad you like the forum.

My zip is 36330. I hope my boys grow up and take up the hobby, it’s been fun at times. They helped me strip out the interior. We pressure washed the carpet and seat cover. Had to repair the seat frame, but got it all reinstalled. The engine was fun. I had them each help install bearings and pistons, and torque bolts. Hopefully we are making good memories doing what I love.

You are now on the map, Matt. And it looks like you are training them well. :nabble_anim_claps:
