What makes things messed up for me is that I'll be making most of the same drive a month prior in my other truck* due to a big meetup with inlaws in Branson, MO (yay tourist traps ). At least that means I get to see my buddy near Rolla, MO twice in three weeks... *-Technically I could drive the '84 both times, but I have a bunch of electronics to haul to the buddy in MO, and the ranger's camper shell is much better suited to the task if I get rained on. I've already driven the latter out to the buddy once this year hauling 4 post server racks, and once the year before showing it off after the engine rebuild . I was planning on going for sure, til my wife pointed out that was Labor Day weekend, at which point I became subject to any family plans that may develop. I should know more in a month or so.
