Gary Lewis
Ha! Brilliant!! I love puns! The temp drop was so quick, here is the chart from my station. You sure you aren't in Oklahoma? We see drops like that frequently. In fact, one of those is supposed to be here early next week.

Gsmblue
I am certain we are only a week or so away from snow! This weather is something. Today we have steady 15-25mph winds. So i am just working on smoothing out this spot: Tomorrow should be no wind but a high of 48f. So i will run the engine to get the hood warm and keep the spray cans in the kitchen so they are warm. Maybe i can finish this tomorrow..

Gsmblue
When they tell you 2 cans of paint enough so you buy 3 and need 6! I ordered 3 more and should be able to collect them tomorrow. This “8oz” at a time is horribly expensive! Any suggestions on how to buy rattle cans economicaly?

That will be a plus/minus thing, but I know you have to put more paint than you think on it. You can't skimp. Especially on the hood. First thing you see on a car when you walk up - that and the front fenders. But with black, have you considered the Rustoleum roll on paint job? Some examples and there are more. https://www.cartalk.com/blogs/craig-fitzgerald/how-paint-car-bucket-rust-oleum-and-roller http://www.rickwrench.com/index79master.htm?http://www.rickwrench.com/50dollarpaint.html https://www.s10forum.com/threads/roll-on-rustoleum-paint-job.844249/#lg=thread-844249&slide=

I think 6 cans will be the bare minimum for the hood I feel 7 or 8 may be in order. I have a bunch of other parts to touch up and the roof has lost most of its clear coat and will nee to be taken care of in the spring. The color as per the Dupli color perfect match can is: BFM0294 Twilight Blue Met (7F,MK). Replaces DSFM294/T277 Buying it at 8Oz a time is horrible and the roof alone will need 6-8 cans... Plus clear.. edit: I have 3 cans coming into Oreilys Auto tomorrow and 7 on order via Amazon. I just need a break in weather towards the end of the week.
