Thanks Gary. Yes I used a wire wheel on the rotary tool to clean the threads and then I soaked it with Deep Creep. After that I used my Milwaukee impact driver to remove the bolts.

Wow! You are really doing a thorough job! And that is a LOT of work! :nabble_anim_claps:

But are you saying that you got the bumper off by using a wire wheel on the Dremel to clean the threads and then hit them with PB Blaster? And they came off ok?

Cool! Haven't tried that approach, but will.

And your frame is looking great! :nabble_anim_claps:

Thanks Gary, I figure if I address something whilst I am working in that area it will avoid having to go back again to work on something I missed. Slowly the whole frame will be done one piece at a time. It is basically the same approach I am taking for the whole truck. It is more about the journey then the destination. I don't get the instant gratification of using the truck yet but when I do get it running it will be very satisfying knowing I took my time to do the best job my limited abilities will allow me to.

"Whilst"? Are you British?

Anyway, I agree with the "do it while you are here" approach. When I'm done I want to be D.O.N.E. I don't want to have to go back to that area again, nor worry that I didn't fix it. :nabble_smiley_good:

I have some British influence due to associations. I usually say petrol too. English and Cantonese are the only languages I know.

I thought as much. I lived in the UK for a couple of years and sometimes use their terminology, but can easily spot it.

Here is a summary before and after.

I tapped the rubber bumper to M8 1.25 to match the original screw. The original screw head is a T-40. I am not sure if LMC does this to be more universal or if it was a manufacturing error. I also treated the rubber to make it look better and more shinny.

For me it is many visits to the former British Colony of Hong Kong. It is funny to hear a Chinese/British accent mixed.
