Pete Whitstone
I am mostly complete with the interior makeover of my 81. First some pics of the starting point when I bought the truck. I found a set of door panels in really good shape locally. I also found a later (92 or so I think?) bench seat with the headrest humps, which I liked better than the flat-top bench that came in the truck. I got it reupholstered at a local shop, nothing fancy, just a good imitation of what might have come stock. I also had them recover the really sad dash pad, which they did for a really good price. SEM Color Coat Pacific Blue dye/paint on the kick panels, a-pillars, dash and door cards. Then some carpet, door weatherstripping and window fuzzies from LMC. I had already redone the instrument cluster, so that was all set to go. And finally, a classic look radio with modern guts and bluetooth, Polk audio speakers in the doors, a Blaupunkt amp and some 6x9's behind the seat. Here's where it's at now. Now to figure out the mysteries of the HVAC system.

Gary Lewis
Pete - That REALLY looks great! You've given it a remarkable transformation. Well done! How 'bout showing us the gauges and they look really sharp?

I actually already covered the gauges in this earlier post: New instrumentation for my
