Tyler
Do any of you know the exact reason this would not fit my '85 ? Also, is there a hard board backer? Just go buy some black indoor/outdoor carpet at Walmart, cut what I need and glue it ? https://www.lmctruck.com/1980-96-ford/carpet-insulation/fd-1987-96-rear-cab-panel-carpet
85lebaront2
It should fit, I have one from a 1996 in my 1986, but, the 1996 has a piece of metal trim that holds the top of it in place.
Gary Lewis
You could do as you said and buy carpet and cut it to fit. But I think the panels that go in the back have a finished edge. Not sure of that, but that's my remembrance. And there's no backer board. I think it just hangs there and is trapped by the corner trim.

Maybe the "glue some black carpet that mostly matches to the back wall" option is the best. I don't have corner trim. Base model... Thanks for the info! That would hold the carpet and you could glue or velcro the edges.
