What seat base is this?

Question for you Scott, is that spare a passenger seat? I set mine in the cab and noticed that the rails are different between passenger and driver.

The driver side slides front/back and the seat back folds, the passenger side appears to be fixed and the seat folds up from the base. Does this make sense?

From what I can tell with the driver side 2 bolts line up with the bench mounts and on the passenger side only one bolt lines up with the bench mount.

Yes - passenger. Perfect sense and you are correct. Driver = slides, passenger = ejects :nabble_smiley_good:

I've never placed a bucket in a supercab bench truck personally but I seem to recall others mentioning the same as you are finding - some holes line up but not all.

Does your floor pan have dimples where they need to go? Are these spots still in the reinforced sections?

I have to take a closer look. The inner rear driver side mount might be over the reinforced area. I didn't check the inner front mount when I was under the truck.

On the passenger side I would be surprised if any of the 3 points are over the reinforced area, but I only looked at the driver side.

I didn't see any dimples on the other places. I'll have to have a closer look.

Thanks for confirming the passenger seat/driver seat operational differences.

What you are finding will be good info for Gary to add here: garysgaragemahal.com/seat-interchangeability.html

Good thread here but I haven't found an answer to what you are finding: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1430082-bronco-floor-pan-differences.html

I think it's talked around but never directly mentioned.

I am wondering if this statement (from Gary's page) should actually say that there are 3 floor pans with the third being Broncos and Supercabs with the split bench?

Unfortunately, it isn't that easy as there are two different floor pans - regular cab and crew cab trucks share one, and Broncos and Supercabs share the other. It turns out that both pans are drilled for and accept the bench seat tracks.

That means that some Broncos and Supercabs came with non-split benches? That doesn't sound very [backseat] user-friendly...

If you could take a photo of the drivers side floor pan without the bucket (captain) track and then one with the bucket track lined up over the holes it matches with, that would be good to see.

Unfortunately I mainly took videos when I was dismantling my truck so this is the only photo that shows the floor and it doesn't get much of anything helpful.

It does show the front two holes for the passenger side so if you could add a photo looking from the same position in your truck that would be helpful.

Quality isn't great but captured this from one of the videos.

My supercab is a split bench.

I don't have a good shot from the passenger side, but I'll take one tomorrow.

Here's a shot from the driver side, you can see the outer bench holes in the lower portion of the photo.

I'll take some better pictures tomorrow, the camera on my phone is not the best.

I'm reading the mail here, so if it is determined there are actually three different floor pans then make sure I see that and I'll change that page.

Good morning Gary. Will do! We ought to be able to take some measurements and see what's going on. I'll grab some today.

Morning, Scott. Just assign it to me. :nabble_smiley_wink:

Alright,

I had a chance to get out to my cramped garage to take some pictures. I hope the quality is sufficient, my phone camera is not great.

First up is the driver side. Both outer bolts for my bench lined up with this bracket.

IMG_20210116_134009_HDR.png.f1b7f07ca3725ff3ab6cb8d1b1014481.png

Driver side rear outer bolt, same as factory bench.

Inner seat bracket. Measuring offset from seat belt hole.

Factory outer front location was used. Inner front location can also be seen.

Comparing offset from seat belt bolt to see roughly where the rear inner bolt would land.

Top down view of the driver side floor pan.

It's hard to see in the pictures, but there's a dimple near where the hole would be. There is no reinforcement under this location.

IMG_20210116_140227_HDR2.png.cc11198d4c7f3064acd02b05a85f7d70.png

There's a dimple near the rear location too.

Passenger side. Only the outer front bolt hole lined up here.

IMG_20210116_140717_DRO.png.b5f1f1d1a6dccd20c2efa32bfe01bab2.png

There is quite a distance between the seat belt bolt and the rear bolt resting location. I can't get at this side of the floor pan from underneath, it looks like there's a bunch of heat shielding int the way.

IMG_20210116_140744_DRO.png.f5b45fd3d0fa3f75e2e4d6c44d0b3c37.png

The bracket for the passenger side follows the floor line nicely.

IMG_20210116_141258_DRO.png.29d9ba5b0c8a5641b4616a7c74303b35.png

Passenger side floor pan, I tried to get the same perspective as Scott.

IMG_20210116_141139_DRO.png.08eb674d833e8b3483d1693ce3a7e8a5.png

You can see the flat spot in the upper middle, that's roughly where the inner front bolt hole sat.

IMG_20210116_141225_DRO.png.271138628d0c6a1c7e0540d338b7c167.png

It's hard to see where the inner bolt would sit, i didn't notice any wrinkles or dimples.

If needed I have the full res photos. They're ~10MB each.
