Another note: Modern fuel does not have the anti-freeze additives in it for carbureted vehicles like it did in the past. Takes a while to get it to turn over, but once it warms up, I'm good for the rest of the day. Gary- I'm guessing the advice you gave here would still hold for me as well? You should not have to let your engine "warm up." That is what the choke is for. I see in your description that you have a stock Motorcraft 2150 carburetor. Those should run almost as well as fuel injection - even when it is cold. Here are two simple things to check first: Are your [two] choke tubes in place?
