Name that part

Hi Folks,

Local seller has some 80-86 Ford truck parts listed online for sale, and one of the pictures shows a pile of these things. He mentions in the ad that he has some "mirror brackets for inside the doors".?

What are they?

Yes, they are installed inside the doors to brace the western swing-aways.

Top hole are for the top mounts of the mirrors.

Middle holes are for the lower mounts of the aluminum arms, the bottom threads stick out of the holes in the bottom of the doors.

 

 

Now, there are two sizes of these braces, longer ones are for F-series. shorter are for Ranger.

Easy to tell if you have a mirror, measure the top to middle holes, they will line up with F-series or Ranger...
