RenoHuskerDu
I searched for "door hinge" and got quite a few hits, but didn't see any mention of installing 1987-91 Bricknose hinges. Looking at them side by side, it seems feasible. And Bricky hinges are a lot cheaper. Has anybody tried it?

RenoHuskerDu
All hinges are interchangeable from 1980-1997. Excellent. Say, how about door strikers? We see the Bricky has an extra loop on it, but the post itself sure looks like the Bullnose striker post.

And on those, and most later strikers, a piece of 1/2" PEX is a push fit to replace the plastic. Just screw the bolt out of the washer/loop, push the PEX on, and reassemble. Agreed - that safety loop is nice to have and a bonus of being able to unscrew the bolt and replace the bushing without having to slit it.
