After your experience years ago I wouldn't buy a used dash pad unless I needed one to put a cover on. It is simply a matter of when it cracks, not if. Yep, what a bad lesson to learn, but I'm just glad I only paid $50 and it came with the whole interior minus the door panels which I bought later for $20.
