Probably the wrong section, please move if needed.

Saw two Lariats at Louisville's Pull A Part.

One is a 1986. I pulled the wiper timer & switch, side mirrors, and underhood reel light. Interior us mostly intact, has a long bed with mat and fiberglass camper shell. Has the tach&trip odometer cluster minus the clear cover. Has all the sandalwood dash panels and stock radio and clock.

The other is a 1981. Pulled nothing, even more intact than the 1986. Also has the full cluster, faded but fully intact.

It is ok here. And that tach, gauge set, and clear cover is what John/Machspeed is looking for.

Crap. If I knew somebody needed one here, I would have nabbed it for them if wanted. I only noted it because I just bought one and was humously PO'd because of the irony; I'd have to check, but I think Pull A Part's price for such is cheaper than the $100 I paid for mine (and even then, mine was partially busted!)

The intact '81 one needs needle painting in a bad way. All were faded to white! But obviously that's fixable (been there, done that). The '86 one with no cover was less faded (but still would need painted to be back to stock look).

Did the 81 have the Ranger Lariat radio bezel?

It did, if memory serves. Rosewood dash and doors.

That kind of stuff is worth a little bit to the right people. Folks are always looking for the woodgrain on the doors.
