Starliner Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 I must be stupid but this connector wont budge so I figured I would check with you guys before I do something I will regret. I'm trying to unplug the compressor and then the sky opened up with torrential downpours so I packed it in for the day. While I'm at it, is there a chart which shows the amount of compressor oil and refrigerant for the 84 truck? I see for 85 trucks it says 48 oz r12 and 10 oz mineral oil. Mine is r134a and synthetic.
85lebaront2 Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 In your picture, on the bottom side of the connector, you can see a small tab with a hole, insert a small screw driver and pull it away from the connector carefully while pulling on the connector body.

That is not a Ford OEM compressor, it is probably a Chinese knock-off and only uses the rear ports into the manifolds. Here are some pictures of the FS6 I removed from Darth when I changed things to go to EFI.
