Just wouldn't want to tow much with a 302. Shaun To be quite honest, I have towed quite a bit with my 5.0 and AOD. I even brought my 73 Rivera From northern Cali to AZ on a trailer. The 302 is definitely capable of towing differing size loads, but it's a stretch from being great at larger loads like other vehicles, and that's my own personal experience with them. Rembrant Posted July 4, 2020 Share Posted July 4, 2020 I like it. Notice the 9” rear end. It’s odd how it showed up in some of the later trucks, but a 302 and 4spd was guaranteed to have a 9”.
