ggmchev
Hello all, I have completed an E4OD transmission swap in my f250. I want to know where I can get a cable to connect my 1984 speedometer to an 89-91 electronic sensor with a cable drive from the transmission tail shaft speed sensor. 85lebaront2
I would suspect a 1989-1991 should fit, they are still mechanical speedometers and the location of the speedometer is pretty close to the 1980-1986 location.

The sensor I have provides both an electrical signal as as well as a place to connect a traditional speedo cable. If you had one of those you could probably use your existing cable. None of the parts places around have them in stock.

85lebaront2
The unit I have connects nicely with the 80-86 cable. And will also connect with a 1988-91 E4OD length cable. That 7" longer is what gets you.
