95 reg cab floor as donor floor?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I've got a 95 f150 reg cab as a parts truck (had a tree fall on it). My 84 reg cab has some holes I'd like to fix in the floor. The holes are where my foot rests for the gas pedal, cab corner, and the floor sections close to the rockers. Could I use parts of the 95 floor to fix the holes I've got? The floors in the 95 are perfect but the roof is crushed so no cab swap. I'll be going back with some Dynamat and putting carpet in instead of vinyl that way the water can evaporate and not get trapped like it would with the vinyl.

I also need to replace the cowl seal and the seal for the hood, that'll get done as well

Any help would be appreciated and Happy Easter to you all!

Happy Easter!

I'm pretty sure that the later cab's floor will work for the areas you mentioned. The issues would be at the rear of the transmission hump, which was extended farther back. But, you could still use that part of the floor - it would just be different. And, there may be an issue around the seat belt bolts.

Thank you Gary, that's what I wanted to hear:nabble_smiley_good: I'll triple check before I cut anything but that gives me more peace of mind.

Somewhat related. I know you're dad's truck is a 4x4 with an E4OD and reg cab if I'm remembering right. Did you have any clearance issues with E4OD and transfer case with the floor? I'm weighing my options on an E4OD/BW1356 swap. I have all the parts to do it besides something to control the trans.

That's a big YES! Big clearance problems. I had to cut the floor out at the rear of the bump/hump over the transmission and graft another on to take the hump back 2".

If you are considering that, graft that part off the '95. If you look you'll see that they extended that hump on the later trucks.

Here's where I fixed the problem with the floor: http://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/Dad-s-Truck-Build-tp7104p27425.html
