Hello All,

My name is Allen and I’m from Salinas, CA.

I did some time in the Air Force and in Soledad Prison.... as a Correctional Sergeant. I’m retired now.

I have a 1984 Ford F-150 Styleside 2wd 4.9l 300 I6 that I am restoring from the ground up. I started working on this project about 15 years ago, then I had kids. Pulled it out of storage about 6 months ago and it’s been non stop fun.

I just finished installing the drive line and the muffler system. So everything that attaches to the frame is done. Next is bed, can, electrical, fenders, hood and paint.

Looking forward to exchanging ideas, knowledge and war stories about F150s.

Take Care....

Welcome to the forum! My truck was made in California, but its all the way in Kentucky now.

Kids tend to get in the way of project cars. Ive had to sell or put off a lot of projects to take care of family.

Post of some pictures in the Projects section.

Allen - Welcome! Glad you joined. :nabble_anim_handshake:

We have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and I'd be happy to add you if that's ok with you.

As for the truck, I hope you'll start a thread about it and share pics with us.

Sure.... go ahead with posting my location.

And, as soon as I get a minute to myself I will post some pictures.

Just finished my homework, I mean my sons homework... he needed some help with his Math.

Take care.

You are now on the map.

As for math, I'm told that when school was in session here they sent notes home to the parents that there would be no math homework since none of the parents understood the new way of doing it and were teaching their kids the wrong way. :nabble_smiley_scared:

Welcome to the forum! I am very familiar with that part of California. My aunt has lived in San Carlos for many years, so I have spent lots of time exploring the Bay Area. My wife and I spent our honeymoon in a vacation house at the crest of the mountains above Santa Cruz and Soquel. Grandpa lived in around the Monterey/ Carmel area for most of his later years. His last home was just off Highway 1 and Carmel Valley Road in the newer part of Carmel. For a few years when I was younger, I would visit for a week in the summer and take sailing lessons in Monterey Bay (he was a longtime member of the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club). And finally, my dad grew up deep in the Carmel Valley. Very beautiful part of the world!

Looking forward to seeing pics of your truck. It sounds like it and mine are cousins. Any chance you know which plant it was built in? Mine rolled out of Kansas City in April, 1986.

Cheers!
