2 position mirror assembly [E0TZ-17696-D] - NOS

Recommended Posts

This looks like it would also fit an '81 in addition to an '80, right? Not sure how they changed in other years. Its rather expensive considering its just one mirror though :/

80/ F-U100/350 E0TZ 17696-D Kit: R.H. & L.H.-dual position stainless 6" x 9"

The "80/" means 1980 to the end of the master parts catalog, which is 1989. So yes, they will fit an '81.

And that part number is for a kit, with both left and right mirrors.

Do note that it has 3 screws on top and bottom.

Good point, David! These won't fit trucks that have only 2 screws top and bottom w/o drilling new holes.

These are technically correct for 1980-1981, and maybe 1982. But I have never seen them on anything newer than that, so I have no idea why they're listed for 83-86? By that time if you wanted tow mirrors, your options were the recreational mirrors or an aftermarket mirror head extension kit.

Well I messaged the seller. I'd be interested if the price can drop a bit. The originals are nicer the the LMC versions which my insurance body shop was nice enough to pay for after my accident. The back of the mirror body is rippled (almost looks like a hammered finish) and brushed to be foggy looking instead of the original smooth polished "mirror like " finish (no pun intended!). Hides lower quality manufacturing I assume.

You can read about my change from two-bolt to three-bolt mirrors on this thread on FTE.
