Nice! Didn't realize Ford offered them. I have a NOS Deflectashield brand one for these trucks and found it interesting that it provided different brackets for 80-83 and late 83-86. kramttocs
That's interesting. Same shield but different brackets? Yeah. Something about differences in the stamping/molding process I think. I'll get the box from storage and take a photo of it.

Wasn't able to scan them so just have some photos.

Gary Lewis
Nice! Didn't realize Ford offered them. I was just going to say the exact same thing. Interesting. Yes, interesting! I think the first description of "inconsistency in manufacturing" leaves a mistaken thought in our minds. That sounds like the manufacturers can't hold to a specification. But the later discussion of 1980 - early '83 vs late '83 and on is more accurate. The MPC shows: 16612 HOOD 80/86 F 150/350.U 150 E4TZ 16612-B So there was a 1984 revision in the hood. There might even have been a previous 1983 revision that we don't know about. Interesting!

Due to the 6.9 because of the addition of the mats?
