Radio Plugs

Chris - The 1985 radios are the same as the 1986 radios, which are shown on pages 127 & 128 in the Electrical/EVTM/1986 EVTM/Radios. In addition, on Page 129 you can see the page number and even which figure in which you can find an illustration showing each connector.

And the 1996 radios are shown below.

Oddly enough, both of these are from Bill's EVTM's. The 1986 is his, and the '96 I took pics of is his. And I took pics from his because my brand new 1996 EVTM is WRONG! It is probably a Chinese clone and "hinges" on the top instead of the side, has the wrong stuff in the right place, and leaves a lot out. It is going back. :nabble_smiley_cry:

Bill - I'm going to wait to see what the seller, Hordes Of Hobbies, says to this email I just sent them, and copied Amazon:

I believe you are selling counterfeit manuals. See my review here: https://www.amazon.com/review/R13R0MAKUJXZDW/ref=pe_1098610_137716200_cm_rv_eml_rv0_rv

This manual is not just a simple mistake. It is wrong in almost every aspect, from size, to the way it opens, to the fact that every other page is upside down, to the fact that pages are missing. And I'll bet you know that you are selling fake items. So, I'm also betting you won't get back with me and explain why I'm wrong. If so, when the time limit runs out on your response I will be contacting Amazon to see how to get you removed from their sellers list.

You can read the review at that link, and you can see the pictures of your EVTM vs theirs. :nabble_smiley_angry:

Sorry for the late response! Thanks a bunch Gary! Those wiring diagrams help a bunch!

Gary, I suspect that when the printer took an original and copied it if they had (a) gotten all the pages and (b) bound it like the original it would be ok. The binding change is why the pages are flipped, if you were to make copies of the pages in mine, then stick them in a normal loose leaf binder every other page would be upside down. Now you know why I buy from my eBay source, that is where the 1996 EVTM came from along with a ton of other manuals including the full set for the 2011 Flex.

Good point!  That’s exactly what happened - plus they dropped at least two pages. I’ll take your suggestion on buying.
