Gary Lewis
I rarely click on the adverts when reading the news, but did this morning to see which ones Popular Mechanics thought were the 51 Coolest Trucks Of All Time. But then I found this. What is wrong with it?

Gary Lewis
What is wrong with it?Are you talking about the AD saying that's the 1980 body style? Or are you asking about the TRUCK? Not the truck, but the writeup. You may want to click on the link and go to #14, which is the Bronco one. There are a few more words not shown in the snag above, which say: Ford refined the chassis in 1981, and as a result, the Bronco lost its durable Dana 44 solid front axle in favor of a new Twin-Traction Beam setup that was less capable off-road. So it was these first three years of the big Bronco that have found the strongest following among Ford truck fans.

Gary Lewis
460 engine? That's one of the issues. 460 wasn't used then, and never made it into a Bronco from the factory. In fact, the 400 doesn't appear to have either.

salans7
Yep! This 1980 advert for the Bronco says it has TTB's. Can we really argue with them though? There's quite a few differences between 1980-1981 trucks and 1982-1986. That's part of the reason why I like the early bullnose trucks, they share some things in common with the dentside trucks.
