Rembrant
Now this is a lovely looking Bullnose. Clean, low miles, not all beat to smithereens... Bidding is already past $9000... https://www.ebay.com/itm/133127172634
Rembrant
Oh, this F250 4x4 is nice too...45k original miles, and a three pedal truck... https://www.ebay.com/itm/283566327894
Gary Lewis
Wow, that IS a nice truck. Good to see actual bidding going on up. That truck is Big Blue's brother. But, it is in better shape than BB. It is now on my "research" list. Again, we need a historian!

But, it is an oddity - an Explorer with a rubber mat rather than carpet. However, the '85 Explorer brochure does say that Package A trucks got "Color keyed floor mat with insulation" while Package B trucks got "Color keyed carpeting". I'd never noticed that. And I've never seen an Explorer with a rubber mat.

LARIAT 85
That first truck is a good example to illustrate the two different shades of red offered from 1984 - 1987. The lighter top and bottom color is Light Canyon red (2E), while the middle color is Dark Canyon red (51).

I was the fortunate winning bidder on the two-tone red lariat explorer. Looking forward to contributing what I can here. Thanks
Gary Lewis
Hi Guys New member here. Already received a warm welcome from Gary. I was the fortunate winning bidder on the two-tone red lariat explorer. Looking forward to contributing what I can here. Thanks Welcome! Glad you joined! We are a small but friendly group, and we like calling each other by name rather than screen name. And, a signature is a huge help when we start talking about your truck. So why not join the two ideas and create a signature that includes not only the info about your beautiful truck but also your first name. And, an introduction in the New Members folder is appreciated as well. Not everyone will see your post here, but more will see it there.. Also, we have a member's map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and I'd be happy to add you if I just had a town/city.

Gary, this is an example of what the 1980 - 1986 trucks are actually selling for.
