IDIBronco
Does anyone have a t19 transmission tunnel cover loose from a vehicle? I am attempting to get my ducks in a row for my transmission swap and since I haven't found a cover locally I am in need of a good high resolution photo of a cover removed from a truck showing the t19 shifter hole. I can make accurate measurements from a picture using a program called screen calipers to accurately measure for the modifications for my c6 tunnel cover if I cannot find a t19 cover. I am willing to post pictures and write a how to for the conversion when I complete the swap, similar to my saginaw conversion writeup, if there is enough interest. Any suggestions or input will be apreciated. Thanks.
Steve83
I'd assume it's close enough to the same place as an NP435 for the boot to hide the difference (if any). This is the first pic I could find of an original NP435 tunnel cover: https://supermotors.net/getfile/512654/thumbnail/np435etc.jpg This one is a later automatic cover that I cut for the NP435: https://supermotors.net/getfile/970538/thumbnail/30shifterseal.jpg http://supermotors.net/getfile/293250/thumbnail/transcovers.jpg This is just for reference: https://supermotors.net/getfile/933123/thumbnail/xmbrmazda.jpg Most of my pics can be clicked again for higher resolution. Steve83
Perfect picture for what I need. Thank you. Shaun's is the wide hole version. Most use a much-smaller boot.
salans7
Shaun's is the wide hole version. Most use a much-smaller boot. I've rarely seen the smaller boot in anything newer than 1983. Most T19 trucks I've seen have the larger boot.
Ford F834
I’m obviously late to the party but in case this helps at all here are two side by side 1982 NP435 and 1986 T19 tunnel covers.
