(Remember that a Flareside is body style 83 while a Styleside is a 99.) One is chrome and is supposedly only for the 1980 Flaresides, and the other is Black Hi Gloss and is only for the '82 Flaresides. What did all the other Flaresides wear? I’m guessing the chrome one is missing “/86” (or 87) and the black one is missing “/83”.I had a discussion with Christopher Lott about the narrow flareside step bumpers that one often sees, and he said they are just a common dealer added aftermarket option. Not Ford which you just showed as well with the parts catalogue. Regarding the eBay listing, it is a bid auction. It was a Ford Option/part My 1986, (ordered by me from Patalano Ford) back in 1986 did come with that style chrome bumper.
