300 6 Intake Carb bolt pattern

Recommended Posts

I read somewhere online that the late model EFI exhaust manifolds from a 300 flow much better than a factory set. Those would be ideal for keeping noise down and increasing power. Those, with a Offy intake and EFI would be sweet.

.....again......I am getting ahead of myself.....

The split EFI manifolds are the common upgrade as they are readily and inexpensively available. The medium duty HD manifold from the older F600’s is an even better option (but rare). There are reproductions but they are a bit pricey and some have reported QC issues. I have been looking for used/fair priced OEM one over the last several years with no avail, for David/1986F150six.

I have run split exhaust manifolds on a couple carbed 300s. It is a mod I would suggest. As for the carb . . they used YFs. The stock 2100 style 2V carb is not going to work. You definitely would need an adapter or an aftermarket intake manifold.
