Rembrant
Ok, I'm kidding...but... Like the famous Frank Sinatra quote: “I feel sorry for people that don't drink because when they wake up in the morning, that is the best they're going to feel all day.” I bought this 5spd crossmember from a junkyard in Georgia, and even at 26 years old, it still has the factory paint on it. Around here, parts like this crossmember actually rust to the point that they will break in two or one side will break completely off the frame. I had been looking for one of these crossmembers for months and every time I came across a 1988-1996 F150 being parted out the frames and crossmembers were rusted to the point they were not usable. They were either full of holes or already broken.
Gary Lewis
I can only imagine. I remember driving through Ohio a few years ago and even relatively new vehicles had major rust problems. I couldn't live there as it would just kill me to see things falling apart, literally before my eyes.As for “I feel sorry for people that don't drink because when they wake up in the morning, that is the best they're going to feel all day”, my two cups of Starbucks makes me feel better each morning. And the one I'm drinking now will give me a boost this afternoon. (Boy, do I need it!)

One look at my dads truck he restored is a perfect example of what you're talking about.Anyone else would have scrapped that thing.
