Rembrant
So where does this switch install, on the pedal lever? Why is it only 1984-up? What was used before that?
Gary Lewis
So where does this switch install, on the pedal lever? Why is it only 1984-up? What was used before that? I don't find an illustration showing that installed for the factory-installed speed control, but I did find this for a dealer-installed unit: The thing to notice is that it appears to have both the vacuum dump and the electrical shutoff incorporated into one unit. Prior to this they had two separate units, as shown here: Driveline/Clutches and Linkages.
Steve83
So where does this switch install, on the pedal lever? Why is it only 1984-up? What was used before that? The factory vacuum cruise system normally reads the same BOO that works the brake lights. But it has a vacuum dump valve as a backup. AFAIK, only the clutch cruise cancel switch changed in '84. https://supermotors.net/getfile/749021/thumbnail/clutchsws8086.jpg
