Gary Lewis
It was a little bit bubbly when we bought it - I've got some good roof sections off Gary when we were there last year but the truck was bought out of San Diego but it was ordered and lived in Florida for the first part of its life. If I had have known it was going to have two sections of the roof like this, I would have possibly put a full roof on it or changed the cab over. Loving it, Darin! But, isn't it amazing how just an engine swap becomes a full-blown rebuild!?!?
Oz EconolineF100
Loving it, Darin! But, isn't it amazing how just an engine swap becomes a full-blown rebuild!?!? Yes it is but it will only be a engine bay and drive line for now. I will leave the body to a bit later.

Spent the weekend doing some work in the shed and thought I'd add some more pics here of the progress.

You are ready to put the engine in. Blue springs? I've only seen black. What brand are they?
Oz EconolineF100
Darin - It looks great! You are ready to put the engine in. Blue springs? I've only seen black. What brand are they? Thanks Gary! I'm going to try and put the engine in this weekend but I'm also sending the gearbox away to get rebuilt. Different manufacturers in Australia have different coloured springs. These springs are the Lovell brand. Unfortunately there's not many people making springs for F100's anymore because there's not a great deal of them here and they're getting a bit old. If you put the engine in w/o the gear box won't it be sorta wobbly? Will you have to prop one end or the other up?
