Bo Frodo
I just finished drying-in my shop (24 x 30) metal building on slab. Temporarily running extension cords to bldg. Electric contractor to run underground in Feb. I couldn't, I pushed my '86 F150 short bed into the shop to begin the "project". Truck has been sitting up for 10 years. A new battery and ground cables and the 302 was turning over. A squirt of starter fluid and it fired, but would not run. Tomorrow I start checking and tracing down the possible problem(s). I must say I am a little intimidated with the EFI engine. I do look forward to hearing from others that have taken this path. I will post pictures later. Gary Lewis
Welcome!!! Glad to meet you. That does sound like an intimidating project. One thing that most of the EFI guys have looked for is pressure on the test/Schrader valve on the fuel rail. (I think by '86 all of them had it.) There's info on the idle speed adjustment here: http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/efi-idle-speed-adjustment.html And test procedures here: http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/eec-iv-diagnostics.html By the way, where's home? I ask because we have a member's map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map) and I could easily put you on it.

Bo Frodo
You may add me to the Member’s Map. If you enlarge the map slowly Cuba will pop up between Millington and Meemam Shelby Forest State Park. I am right where the Cuba is indicated at the crossroads, the pond is on my property. Gary Lewis
Actually, I don't think you can when using email. Very few people respond via email, and one of the reasons is all the baggage of previous messages that brings with it. So most of us respond by logging onto the forum itself via a browser. Once on there click on your name in the upper right and go to Account Settings. And then on the left click on Edit Your Signature.
