TM800SRR
Anyone have a picture of how the cable from the PRNDL display is hooked up on the steering column ? Took mine apart and can't quite figure out how to put it back together. Guess I should have taken my own picture. TIA.
Steve83
It wraps under the LHS of the column to the RHS where it attaches to a tiny plastic clip (usually lime-green) screwed to the column.

You can see a bit of it here: http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/steering-columns1.html But if that is t enough I’ll try to get a closeup later this afternoon. Thanks Gary. A picture would be more helpful. Mine is a fixed wheel, not tilt if that makes a difference.

I'm sorry, but I don't have anything with an auto so can't take a pic. Maybe someone else?
Steve83
Thanks Gary. A picture would be more helpful. Mine is a fixed wheel, not tilt if that makes a difference. Doesn't matter - the shifter isn't on the tilting section of the column. It's essentially the same as this, but the parts aren't the same shapes or colors: https://supermotors.net/getfile/285911/thumbnail/07wire.jpg Your tube is white, and doesn't have the molded right-angle bend; instead of a wheel on threads, the bracket on the column is slotted & adjustable with its mounting screw. Why don't YOU post pics of what you're working with?
6.9-250
This is for my 1985, not sure if 1981 is the same. The pictures appear to be sideways, not sure how to correct that?
Gary Lewis
This is for my 1985, not sure if 1981 is the same. The pictures appear to be sideways, not sure how to correct that? The only way to correct the orientation is to open the pic in a photo editor and save it. That usually does the trick. The issue is that this, and most, forums don't have the smarts to read the metadata embedded in the picture. That is what tells the orientation of the camera. Most photo editors do read the metadata and then re-orient the pic when you save it. Most, not all.
