Fog lights [E4TZ-15200-A] - NOS [different and less expensive]

Recommended Posts

It shows in the catalog, and on this page as well: Electrical/Lighting/For Or Driving Lights. But, the switch is a universal one that appears to screw to the bottom of the instrument panel.

Interesting. Looks like this replaced the SEV-Marchal fog lights with the surrounds in 1984. Chris McGaugh and I were talking about this the other day... seems like many of the nicer options and accessories were discontinued in 1984 (Bronco cap sliding windows, fog lights, tool box etc.,). I guess there still was a fog light option, just not as fancy.

I had a set of the 1980-1984 Marchal fog lights, surrounds, and light switch, but I sold it all without installing them on my truck. Personally, I just didn't think they looked all that great. If they are installed underneath the bumper with the surrounds, they look kind of silly and are prone to severe damage hanging down so low. If they are installed above the bumper, they are just too large and look out of proportion. I didn't care much for the white Marchal covers with "cats" either. They look great mounted in the front air dam of a 1982 Mustang GT, but not so much on the bumper of a Bullnose.

I purchased a set of fog lights -E9TZ15200A - which superseded the ones in this listing, and I think these look much better than the Marchals. The lights are not as tall as the Marchals but they are wider. Proportionately, these look like they actually belong on a Bullnose. When mounted on top of the bumper, the top of the lights are inline with the top of the [optional] bumper guards.

The lights in the E9 kit I have are made by Bosch and use OEM-style Ford connectors (like the Marchal lights), whereas the lights in the E4 kits are made by InterLight and use completely different connectors. I also like the fog light covers much better in the E9 kit. They are black (same color and texture texture as the bumper rub strips) with the "FORD" oval made into the cover.

Looks like this is the parts page for that kit.

Has anybody tried making an offer? I'd try $28 if I had any possible use for them, but I don't.
