New Member...Yay!

Recommended Posts

Been a while since I've had to write an introductory post on a forum, I've frequented many of these forums over the years, some of you guys may recognize me from other forums, specifically FTE and even social media.

I'm (soon to be) 24, been playing with these trucks since I was about to stand up on my own, I'd like to think I'm pretty well versed in them :nabble_smiley_happy:.

Anyways I'll be contributing to the site, the latest Interchange page Gary has beautifully our together was my idea.

I grew up in my father's 1985 F250 4x4 that has had quite the history. Multiple restorations! That, to me is the pinnacle truck and the reason why I am a Ford man. The truck, in a short brief, began life as a base 1985 4x4, 300-6/C6/NP208. Dana 44HD TTB and Dana 60 semi float. 6600 gvwr. Around 1990 it got a 351W. 1993 it was taken to the frame and rebuilt/painted. In 2015 we started another restoration. The truck was severely rotted out by this point, most people would have scrapped it. Not us!

I also currently own a 1979 F150 2wd lwb with a 400ci. Originally had a 302/3 on the tree. It now has a built C6 and 9" with 3.89 gears. It will be recieving a 429 big block.

Last but not least is my 95 short bed, 2wd with a 300/E4OD. This truck will be receiving a full bullnose front clip in the coming weeks.

As always, many many pictures are available if anyone would like to see what it's like to live and restore stuff in the salt belt!

Thanks to Gary Lewis for putting together this wonderful website and amazing resource for us fellow enthusiasts of what are now becoming heavily followed classic trucks.

Angelo - WELCOME! I'm glad you joined! :nabble_anim_handshake:

And, that interchange idea was an excellent one. But it has taken a life of its own and I'm working on powder coating parts for several trucks (and a car) in my shop so don't have the time at the moment take all of the ideas from suggestion to the web page. So I need to use that thread to capture the thoughts as they come in, with the lick and promise that I'll get back to them and immortalize them on the page soon. :nabble_anim_working:

It does sound like you know your way around Ford trucks. And while the name of the forum is Bullnose, we do allow members here to create threads about their other vehicles, so feel free to do so as well. (One guy on here has a Dodge car and a Chevy truck, but I won't mention his name. :nabble_smiley_wink:)

Again, WELCOME!

Welcome aboard Angelo! What an age swing we have on here! I'm soon to be 47, and bought my first Bullnose in 1993...and hard to believe even then that truck was 13 years old and had been mostly rebuilt by that time...lol. And here were are all these years later.

I like all of 'em...the shiny showroom examples, and the rusty beaters!

Good point, Cory. I'm 71 and I'm not the "old man" on here. :nabble_smiley_evil: (But, percentage wise, I'm only 1+% shy of him.)

Nice trucks! Are those Penn tags? I'd forgotten to ask where you are, but we do have a member's map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map) and I could easily add you to it.

As for the stories, why not start threads for each of them in Projects? And/or you can put up the pics in the Picture Gallery, although it doesn't work as well to tell stories about them as it is mainly just for lots of pics.

Anyway, have at it. We will follow along. As for value to the site, I'm confident of that. :nabble_smiley_good:

Thanks, the 85 my dad has owned since it was 2 years old. I'm not sure what you mean by Penn tags?

I can definitely start threads. There is a lot of material to go through, you could read for hours and hours.

Pennsylvania = Penn.

As for material, your choice. This is the place to document things. It isn't going away.
