JohnKorutz
My 1985 F150 302 EFI has trouble starting after the motor is warmed up. It has no problem starting in the cold what so ever. Only takes like 2 crank in the dead of winter, but I will have problems starting it after its warmed up. I dont think it has anything to do with the fuel filter or pump but I cant rule that out yet. I would truly appreciate the help. Thank you I advance!
Gary Lewis
John - Welcome to the forum! Glad you found us. I'm not, yet, checked out on EFI, but others are and will surely comment soon. And I'll check back in the morning.
ScubaSteve
Does the engine turn over at a normal cranking speed when warm?
Gary Lewis
Does the engine turn over at a normal cranking speed when warm? Morning. I don't have answers but do have questions in addition to Steve's. You said "I will have problems starting it after its warmed up", but can you describe what happens when trying to start it? And how does it run after it starts? Have you checked for codes?

vjsimone
In addition; When your truck cold starts, define the 1st 30 seconds rpm level? The 2nd 30 seconds rpm level? The 3rd 30 seconds rpm level? and the 4th 30 seconds rpm level? Basically, how is it acting for the first 2-3 minutes in those increments from cold-start.
