My 1985 F150 302 EFI has trouble starting after the motor is warmed up. It has no problem starting in the cold what so ever. Only takes like 2 crank in the dead of winter, but I will have problems starting it after its warmed up. I dont think it has anything to do with the fuel filter or pump but I cant rule that out yet. I would truly appreciate the help. Thank you I advance!

Does the engine turn over at a normal cranking speed when warm?

Morning. I don't have answers but do have questions in addition to Steve's.

You said "I will have problems starting it after its warmed up", but can you describe what happens when trying to start it?

And how does it run after it starts?

Have you checked for codes?

For us to really help, we need to know EVERYTHING about the truck: miles, maintenance, modifications, damage, repairs, options... The more we know, the more likely we can offer relevant suggestions. Click this, read the caption, study the truck, and put ALL the details into your signature here so they appear automatically with each post:

But you didn't tell us WHAT those problems are. We can't see or hear it, so you have to describe it thoroughly. Read this:

In addition;

When your truck cold starts, define the 1st 30 seconds rpm level? The 2nd 30 seconds rpm level? The 3rd 30 seconds rpm level? and the 4th 30 seconds rpm level?

Basically, how is it acting for the first 2-3 minutes in those increments from cold-start.
