The 2017 Garagemahal Truck Show & Swap Meet was held on September 16th, and it was a success. :nabble_smiley_good: In spite of it being the first year we had 15 trucks entered and 48 ballots were turned in, so we had a good turnout.

The winners were:

  • Best Paint: Terry Shreve from Barnsdall, OK with his red & white 1965 F100

  • Best Engine: Terry Shreve's 428 in his '65 F100

  • Closest To Stock (pre-2000): Scott Ringer from Skiatook, OK with his 1978 F150

  • Best Upgrades: Tim White from Skiatook, OK with his 1970 Bronco

  • People's Favorite: Tim White's 1970 Bronco

  • Farthest Driven: Ben Bluhm drove 121 miles from Choctaw, OK in his 1985 F350

Here are pics of some of the winners getting awards. In this one Scott is getting his Closest To Stock award:

Mike Carr had a very stock 1985 F150, which included this wiring cover that is rarely seen today:

Last, here are some shots of the trucks from various angles. In this first one you can see Terry Shreve's red & white 1965 F100, which won Best Paint and Best Engine.

David - Thanks. But I was happy to do it. And thanks to all of you who came. 👍

Jonathan - Wow! Thanks for all of the pictures! I really appreciate you getting those as I've been kicking myself that I didn't. Maybe you can zip them and email them to me so I'll have them in the best format for creating the page on the website.

More pictures of the trucks. I didn't get them all, and I agree next year that should be a goal.

I am glad the guys from Choctaw came out. I am also glad we had a decent turnout for the first one. The Choctaw trucks were nice and so were the owners. Looking forward to seeing them next time.

Yep! I sure hope they come back next year.

And, speaking of that, I think I recruited another truck yesterday and another vendor a few weeks ago. The truck is owned by my wife's cousin, Leonard Fields. It is an '83 shortbed w/the 3.8L V6. He and his twin, Lester, were at the house yesterday for our Thanksgiving get-together and he told me about the truck and his problems finding a lower radiator hose. Hence the thread on that subject.

And the vendor is Core Tuning, who has software and hardware to allow changing the parameters on Ford's EEC computers. Bill Vose used their stuff to get Darth running, and I plan to use it on Dad's truck. So, one of the guys said he'd be here, and I'm going to petition for a course on how to use their stuff.
