It looked like a tie until 75 MPH.  Then Stripes started slowing down.

I slowed down ... still not confident on the brakes... those hoses are definitely ancient... :nabble_smiley_blush:

Minor leak in the firewall near the brake pushrod so I figured it was a good time to fix that...

Not too many leaves and debris underneath...

The original seam still is present but clearly delaminating.. should I attempt to remove it completely ?

I'm planning to go back with Flexseal clear that I have left over from BB 2WD's driver side cowl seal....

I found this cap only on the passenger side... nothing on the driver side.. sound about right ?

The only difference from that article in my situation is that the original "caulk" is really well adhered, I am unable to break and remove it, at least in the spots I tried. I removed maybe a 4" section in one area... I'll try some more to try to dislodge anything that will budge, and apply Flex Seal over it.

Applied “ospho” to the seam. Going to let it work its thing overnight, come back and give it a rinse and let it dry before going back with a sealer

yes, I did. and that got me thinking about them again. I didn't even realize that they are 45 miles from me now. and are on one of my normal routes when I go to the transmission parts warehouse.
