viven44
Well, we are officially starting today, my parts truck is truly a good source of color matched parts. Look at that ashtray! Truly a shame I had to part this truck out as the frame was bent from an accident

Gary Lewis
Good progress, but you have to replace the blend door! Chris/@ckuske has a nice one.

I have seen this being discussed but for my benefit it appears to be functioning… when I apply vacuum it appears to block off the defrost side.. see pic below.. does that mean this is ok ? I suppose the lighter is NOS too? Yes all of it. This truck sourced the 460 for my bronco. 93k miles. It was a very difficult decision to part out. But I’m glad I did as I got to meet Gary, Steve, a few neighbors when I sold parts off it. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/7k6KM5K7NgHY6Rg1/?
Gary Lewis
It isn't a question of "if" the blend door's hinge will break, but "when". The hinge is plastic and it WILL break. I would not put an HVAC system in w/o replacing that. It is very easy to do now and extremely difficult later. I'll go to the shop and show you some good ones and bad ones...... You probably know this about me but I’m very one track minded and want to just get the job done. Definitely lack the mentality of “while I’m at it” … but I will listen this time 👍 I will address this as soon as I figure out that infamous firewall. on a side note the factory implementation is very kludgy. Didn’t expect that. Edited 16 hours ago by viven44
