My First Bullnose

Recommended Posts

Hi All!

After owning a 1971, '72, '76, '89, and a '99 - I finally own a 1986 Bullnose. What a cool truck! This particular model was on my radar for a few weeks. I kept going back to the listing and clicking on the pictures; finally, my wife said to me, just go and buy it, it was meant for you! I called the guy, got the particulars, and bought the one way plane ticket to Boise, Idaho and flew into town. The seller met me at the airport, I gave him the cash, and hauled ass back to Williston, ND. The truck is from La Grande, Oregon. The owner bought it new, slid a camper into the bed, and only used it to go camping. I bought it with 41,000 original miles. Everything about the truck is like a time machine. I can't believe how clean it is - topside and underneath. She will be spending the winters indoors keeping my other girls company in their heated shop! Blue flawless cloth captains chairs, center console, original cassette player radio, rubber floor, tilt, cruise, AC, 3 speed C6, 460ci, 2WD. All the smog crap was removed from previous owner. He repainted it a nice silver, I saw the before photo's - the original paint was peeling clearcoat. Not a single bit of corrosion. The bed is still original paint and looks brand new. I love it! Looking forward to checking out this forum in depth. I can already tell you have a wealth of info here. Thanks for all you guys do for us Ford lovers!

Welcome!  Glad you joined.  :nabble_anim_handshake:

Where are the pics of that truck?  We want to see what you have!  (And our new platform makes it lots easier to insert pics, so there's now no excuse.)

So is Williston home?  I ask because we have a map, which you can see in the menu at Bullnose Forum/Member's Map, and we can add you if you'd like.  Who knows, one of us might be a neighbor and could help you.

Hi Gary,

Yes, I would like you to add me to the map for sure. Williston is our home. Been here 11 years working in the oilfields. Originally from Rhode Island. Miss the seafood, but we are loving the steaks!! Thank you sir, for the warm welcome! These are just 2 of the girls who will appreciate the company in the long North Dakota winter. 1978 Lincoln Mark V 460ci, and my 1976 Ford F250 Camper Special with the 460ci C6 auto.
