Gary Lewis
Just talked to my brother and he agrees - go with a carb and get 'er done. But, he also agrees that dolling it up a bit will be cool, including: The dual-snorkel air cleaner with, hopefully, the "400 HO" label that we designed years ago on "the other forum" The underhood tool box, which he's never seen one of. XLS dash trim. The "brushed aluminum" look, and I have a set located and with the deal agreed. @Ford F834 A later model brake master, which doesn't leak and looks "clean" He thinks Dad's truck would have won The Last Run show we went to last weekend. The Chevy that won was nice, but with the above stuff and the full-roller 400 with aluminum heads and powder coated valve covers it wouldn't have been close. So the idea is to get Dad's truck "in the works" and maybe make some shows starting late next year. The shot on the left shows the air cleaner mocked up, and the one on the right shows my brother guiding the E4OD into position. And the status is that the bed and cab are on the frame with the engine, tranny, and t-case in.
