salans7
This truck has wheels from a late 80s to mid 90s Ford Ranger, which means it has the smaller 5x4.5 lug pattern found on some F100s with power brakes and below a 5000 GVWR.

Yes, my 1980 was originally an F100 (it was a 5150 GVWR with power brakes so had the F150 lug pattern) and I swapped in the D44 axle beams from a 1995 F150 to convert it to 4x4. Everything bolted up without issue. The rear axle would swap in with no issue as well. F100's tend to have really high gears, so swapping the rear axle to get a lower gear ratio would be recommended. I think mine had 2.75's and I don't believe any 4x4 front axle came with that ratio, but I could be wrong.

salans7
nm, its probably more work than i can do. shame I can't say it was too bad, I did that swap when I was 19 or 20 years old with very little automotive knowledge. You have to be 100% sure of the swap though because it's easy to lose interest on a project like that. I lost interest on that truck years ago because I bit off more than I could chew for my age (not related to the 4x4 swap, but the engine and transmission).
