Pretty much correct Gary. Almost -40C out here. Also been tied up in a local project that has been taking entirely too much time.

Brad, I did get your email yesterday, check for a reply.

And yes, I have a large collection of wiring diagrams that I hope to scan. They are on 11X17 sheets, (A3 paper), so I have been looking for a scanner suitable for this task. There is enough material here that taking it to the local print shop would be costly!

These drawings are laid out somewhat differently than the EVTM's. Also, EVTM's really were not used till 1985 when EFI became a common option. Earlier documentation included all the electrical information in the shop manual.

Here are a couple of photo's of the 86 manual to show you what I have. The F150/250/350 has 9 double sided A3 pages.

I have wiring diagrams all years and models from 1980 through 1995. I have sold some sets of shop manuals, but I'm keeping the wiring diagram books. I also have some interesting emissions documentation on a year by year basis. At this point, I may still have 1 or 2 years of Bullnose manuals left, but I am unsure which years and it's a long cold trek through the snow to my storage to find out.

Thank you everyone for the interest.

Ray - I'm looking for a large-format printer/scanner as well. And one I'm looking at is the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740. Unfortunately the reviews are love/hate, but it appears to do 11x17, although maybe not from the document handler.

So let's keep each other posted on what we find. My wife's already given me the go-ahead to buy one, so I'm on a mission. :nabble_smiley_evil:

Ray,

If it's of any interest, I have the ability to do 11x17 scans/PDF's at work in b&w or color. Of course you'd have to send me the paperwork. I could do the PDF's for you and then send the hard copies back. I'm only interested in the 1984-1985 wiring currently since I'm going to have an EFI truck to rewire in the future;).

Anyway, if you felt like shipping stuff we could work something out I'm sure.

Thanks for the offer. I sure could use the help, but shipping these manuals becomes the problem. I found that even within Canada, shipping is very expensive.

I am checking out our local food bank which allegedly got a government surplus printer and scanner that does it all. For a number of volunteer hours in trade, I may get access to this scanner for my project. Everybody wins!

That certainly is a win-win. But, have you checked the size of those schematics? I checked some of mine today and they were wider than 11", more like 12 1/2". :nabble_smiley_cry:

But, if you scan those then maybe I don't need to scan any more of mine? :nabble_smiley_beam: (By the way, I've found that you have to scan at 600 dpi to be able to make the pdf legible at the amount of zoom that needs to be used to read them.)

Just adding a note here, Brad and Donald have dibs on the 81 and 85 manuals and that is all I have left. I do have the medium/heavy duty manuals if anyone is interested.

I will be scanning my wiring diagram books in the coming weeks. These are PDF's and can be emailed. I will be sharing the Bullnose drawings with Gary and he can put them up on the site if he chooses.

Thanks!

I will take the ones related to F-150, I guess I need to know the cost to ship to 65355 and how you want payment. You can e-mail me @ donaldbrunswick@att.net.

Thanks

Donald

Guys - As far as I'm concerned it is ok for you to discuss price "in the open" - if you want to do that. That's not my cup of tea since it might lock me into similar pricing for others at a later date. But that's your call.

Similarly it is ok for you to put your email addresses "in the open" in here. But, there's another way you might not know about - simply click the person's "handle/name" above their avatar and then click the "Send Email To" button. This keeps your email address private and only the members of the Bullnose Forum can send you email.

Again, it is no problem if you want to do the whole transaction where everyone on the interweb can see it. But, I just wanted you to know of an option. And, by the way, you can edit your previous posts to remove info if you'd like. Simply hit the More and then Edit Post options.
