Gary Lewis
I see somebody posted a link on FB to this truck on MECUM and that it sold for $11,000. https://www.mecum.com/lots/PA0819-379525/1984-ford-f150-pickup/?fbclid=IwAR2AGM_vEcSBQeRQCYrCZSBwcjIM6fhE-lO8bi4hdYNRdpaM9OG7UX4iBhI So, did the original seller hold it and finally sell it at Mecum's auction? Did someone buy it and flip it? Anyone know?

Well, I don't know about who sold it on MECUM, but I can tell you that someone else DID buy it to flip it...lol. It's now on Long Island being sold by the "original owner"...:nabble_anim_confused: https://longisland.craigslist.org/cto/d/brightwaters-1984-ford-pickup/6963954361.html

Well, not only did it recently sell on MECUM, it was also previously sold by Davis Auto Sales as they are the ones that had it on Ebay.

Let's see what the response is and if he denies it I'll go back with the Davis bit. Do you have the link handy?

Gary, The original Ebay ad is long expired and is NLA, but you mentioned earlier in the thread that you spoke with the guy(s)? at Davis to get permission to save and host the pictures. The link below is the dealer that had the truck on Ebay (In Richmond VA iirc) https://www.davisautosales.com/

kramttocs
So, how long do I give him to reply before I flag it on Craigslist? I wouldn't bother. The seller can just post a new ad for it easy enough. Yes it may be a lie and seems to be a stupid one at that (seller should just omit it as who cares if a truck with that little of mileage has 500 owners) but it ultimately doesn't affect the trucks quality/condition. Anyone willing to spend that kind of money on that old of a truck off Craigslist (this being the key point) should know enough to be skeptical of everything and verify details to the best of ones ability. Pulling a Carfax would show it being sold a couple times recently and at that price should be a given. I think contacting the seller to call him/her out is enough but that's just me
