Rembrant
This is interesting for the wrecker body. Looks to be pretty straight under all that paint. I figured all of these tow trucks had 460's in 'em. I guess not. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1382570847&requestSource=b I know the whole rat rod thing is all the rage these days, especially with classic trucks, and I don't dislike them entirely, but I prefer a natural patina rather than one that is painted on. On car nights around here, there will be as many as a dozen rat rods there, and only a couple of them have authentic patina;).
Gary Lewis
The 460 didn't come back until '83. So that one should be a 351M. But, I would have thought an F350 would have gotten a 400. Lots of "stuff" there. Wonder how much of it works?
Rembrant
The 460 didn't come back until '83. Ahh, OK, I didn't know that. Seems like a lot of truck to have a 351...but still. Most of these trucks were well worked in their lifetimes. Has nice wheels. Would have been nice to fix up...but I supposed it ended up getting rat-rodded because it's likely rusted all to pieces under that paint. It seems to be sitting pretty straight however (isn't all lopsided and saggy). It's about 3 hrs away from me in a direction I rarely travel, so I can't even drop by to see it for kicks. Still...if I won the lottery and was able to collect old trucks....well, a wrecker sure would be handy;).
