Oil pan driver's side slight oil leak

Recommended Posts

Hi Gentlemen!

I noticed a very slight oil leak on the driver's side of the oil pan. Seems to come from a specific bolt.

Really not willing to put a new pan gasket... not an easy job.

What are your suggestions?

- Try to tighten the suspected bolt?

- Try an oil additive pan leak seal? If so, any suggestion for such product?

Thanks for your experience/advice!

If that does not work, I have a post in my thread on changing the gasket in situ—tough yes. But I have NO LEAKS. Used Milodon gasket. Highly recommend.

Gary cautioned me against doing it, but, I tried knowing what I was getting into, made a small tool to get the old cork out.

There is also a product that comes in a spray can—nasty stuff, but has stopped leaks on my Harley. I can get name if you want.

Thanks guys for your input.

I am waiting spring weather to look deeper about this leak... and seems that it will not happen soon.

Got snow (again) last night, and weather cast shows snow again next week.
