844rd
Looks good, Kevin. But do you watch it to see that it goes out when you close the hood? Check the ground to see that there's no light? It always worries me. Yeah I watch and make sure it goes out. I have it hooked up with a disconnect plug and actually thinking about just adding a on/off switch in the finder and keeping it turned off until I need it. Just not sure how reliable those gravity switches are.

It's not leaking noticeably since I tightened up the bolts. They were loose enough to turn by hand. I'll be using the silicone gasket that was used on the '96 4.9 as soon as my budget allows. 844rd
I got the floor replaced and the seat cover done. I found another truck build sheet behind the seat panel, so that's 2 so far. The other one was under the vinyl floor under the seat.

Gary it is much better but I need to do the doors next, getting a little wind noise from there.
Gary Lewis
Gary it is much better but I need to do the doors next, getting a little wind noise from there. Wind noise is a big problem with these trucks and can easily be louder than the noise coming through the floor and other sources. Let us know what it is like after solving that problem. It always worries me. Nice work on everything. Got a question about the can for the heating of the intake air to the filter. It looks like the can is around the intake manifold and not the exh manifold where the most heat would be and where the factory one was. You can just make out where the alum. hose hooks on to it behind the ALT Also who did you get the seat cover & rubber mat thru? Is the cover all vinyl hard to tell in the picture.
