  1. on my 86 had same problem. Found the small white vacume line's and vac. tank had bad spots. Not letting vacume motors to change direction. Changed all line's all work like they should.
  2. Thank you Gary. It is a stock 460 it has studs in the corners and I have to use engine hoist for R/R. I am too old to mussel it on and off. Thanks again
  3. What sealants to use on ports and China wall?
  4. I left the original Ds2 wiring in place and ran MSD wiring with it. If you use DS2 Dist. MSD has adaptor #8869 from Dist. for straight plug in to MSD. If you use Blaster2 coil mount it straight up, it is oil filled. I mounted it in same place as original coil with some easy bracket mods.
  5. On my 86 f350 I mounted it in same place as ordinal DS2. I mounted it on a 3/4" aluminum. Been in service 10 years. Just had to replace pulsar in dist. I am using stock ford dist. I also use MSD Blaster 2 coil. Stock coil wont last with MSD. I have same system 6AL in 3 trucks with same results. One in been service 20 plus years. I live in the High Desert in Calif.
  6. Just a heads up on the bleed tool. it will not work on a OEM valve.
  7. On my 86 it was straight bolt on no adaptors. I got the the tool from them to put in place of sensor switch for bleeding. these people at CC are very easy to deal with.
  8. Had same problem on 86f350. It was praporting valve. Sorry for bad spelling. Got one from Carolina Classics.
  9. I am changing to a FS6 compressor and cant get a solid answer on how much oil goes in compressor. It came with a label that it shipped with 3 oz. of pag 46 oil.
  10. Up date on HR980 AC compressor replacement. I have found up grade for the HR980 comp. The FS6 style compressor is what was used in factory Ford dealer installed units. Their are numerous manufacture's of this compressor. I have ordered one from 4Seasons (58111). I will have to modify my mounting brackets to make it fit. This comp. is listed for use on F series trucks for multiple years. I am using this on my 83 Ranger with a 2.3l. I will up date when I receive the unit.
  11. I found them on E Bay.They range from $200 to 800 for new ones. I bough a nos one that lasted one day. I am in the process of going to a Sanden. they are not a direct bolt on for my ranger. I will up date this thread when I get information back from Sanden. I have seen mounting kits for your application on Nostalgic Air website.
  12. I went with the Bendix PDR 0550 drums. These are 12"/3 1/2". I went with Raybestos 583 PG shoes shoes. They are 12 1/8" x31/2". All parts fit properly. This is a 11000 gvw dual rear wheel with a 10.25 Stearling dif. Hope this will help someone else down the road. There are multiple choices out there depending on which truck you have.
  13. Thanks for the reply's. I have ben looking for NOS for some time. I ordered The Bendix PDR0550 from Rock Auto. I will report back after install. Gary the AC Delco 18B141 are for single rear wheel. Thanks again to all and have a safe holiday season.
