  1. Hey Darin, what's going on down under? I wasn't aware of the holes until you asked, but they are indeed there. Something else I didn't notice until I looked closer at my scrap piece is that the seal part actually is a rubber coated foam (I read this elsewhere). I think it is just the nature of the beast that they are difficult to close for a while (or forever). However, I have read of Bullnosers that did have good luck with them and the seals did relax and form after a while. I think even now only a couple days later, mine are a little better than they were. All good here thanks Cory - I'm just chasing up some parts from the New Year when we visited the US. That's good that they have the holes. Maybe as you said, it needs to be left in the sun a bit so they can soften up. Keep in mind that your doors have been adjusted to the old rubbers and may have to be readjusted to the new ones.
  2. Oh wow. Mine were actually about 8" too long, I had to cut them to fit. They're actually a little better today. I'm going to give them a little time to see if they settle in better. Yep so were mine, had to cut the end or they over lap and you cant have that under the door sill as it would not fit. Dave ---- Hey Cory! Do the after market door rubbers have small relief holes in them to let out the air as the rubber gets squashed as the doors close because the one's on our truck has.
  3. Well guys all I can say is that I'm very thankful that Cory could help me with those parts because there is no way that I was going to be able to find them over here. As well as all the help and info that is provided on this forum - it is second to none. Gary, the efforts that you put into and bring to this forum is unbelievable. On a side note, the hospitality Gary and his wife Janey have shown to us and many other people (both from around the country and across the globe) by opening their home and welcoming us, it's nice to know that there are still some kind and generous people in the world.
  4. Many thanks to Cory who was able to source a power steering bracket and ship it to me from Canada to Australia to get the truck one step closer to running. It arrived a few days ago and I've cleaned it up, painted it and fitted it to the truck. Now it's time to move on to the next layer from the 6 cylinder to V8 conversion.
  5. Thanks again Cory for all the effort you've made into helping me out. It's great to be apart of this forum when you've got people like yourself, Gary and many others to help us out with technical advice and sourcing parts to put these trucks back on the road.
  6. No worries whatsoever. I'm going to try and grab the bracket on Sunday so once I have it in my hand I'll message you through the forum for a shipping address. Don't worry about the cash at the moment. The postage shouldn't be bad. I used to deal with a company in Australia called Woolich Racing, and delivery times and prices were always reasonable. I know at the time, the CDN/AUS exchange was almost on par, but I haven't checked it recently. Looks like you're 14 hrs ahead of me. Have a good weekend and I'll get back to you on Sunday. Cheers. If your friend has the bracket, can you ask him if he's also go the hardware/bolts for it as well? Cheers!
  7. Yes sir, looking good! Sorry for the delay in getting back I haven't had much time online the past couple days. I'm going to do my best to get the PS bracket for you this weekend and then I can chuck 'em in the mail next week. Are you in need of anything else new or used that could go with some rusty parts?...lol. I have an extra set of tailgate chain cover sleeves if you happen to need a set. What city are you in? Just curious about the time change...If you're in the east, I guess it's probably 12 hrs. As the old joke used to go, "The world can't end today, it's already tomorrow in Australia!". TGIF!! Your a Champion for helping with these bracket as it was looking like no-one over here would have such brackets as we only had the Cleveland's in the Bull nose here and the 87 on aero's had the Windsor's with the serpentine belts. Firstly I need to know how I can fix you up with some Cash for the brackets and postage as well. Thanks for the offer to help send others parts over as well. I think I brought a set of chrome chains awhile ago from LMC. I'm in Sydney, Australia and yes it's already 7pm Friday night 25/10. Can you give me some contact details. Thanks Darin
  8. Thanks Cory that's great! I will take the throttle bracket and I haven't found the power steering brackets as yet as I think they will be hard to find over here. Just let me know if that other guy has the power steering brackets first and maybe we could ship them all at once. It really annoys me that I didn't do my home work better when I was there last year.
  9. Well as Gary always says 'just peeling back another layer of that onion'. While in the search for the power steering brackets, I have move on to the next layer which is the throttle cable and bracket that attaches the inlet manifold. I have seen a cable on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Throttle-Cable-For-1980-1987-Ford-F150-1986-1985-1984-1982-1981-1983-B677CX/173709525079) which is 23" and wonder whether this one will work as a 6 cylinder one I took off is way too long and the bracket is different as well from the 6. Would anyone be able to help me out to source a throttle cable bracket for a V8 and tell me if this cable is suitable and would the 5 litre bracket and 5.8 litre bracket be the same?
  10. How quickly do you need this part? I can look around and ask a few people if they have one. Thank's Cory that would be great I'm doing the same thing over here to try and find one. Our bull nose's over here had Clevelands and that bracket is wrong as well and the late 80's one's had the 302 Windsor mainly with the serpentine belt and I don't want to go that way.
  11. Thanks Gary! Now the next question - does anyone have one for sale or know of a solution so I can get the power steering back on? Thanks
  12. Thanks Guys, I have the alloy bracket that the pump mounts to from the 300 six (like the plastic type Cory's has). We use that alloy bracket on Clevelands over here as well. I need the bracket that goes from the water pump to the alloy pump bracket. So is that a 3C511? and it looks like it uses a different bracket to mount to the pump (3A732).
